Easter Egg Door Hanger

Wow, two posts in one day~lol. How about a cute project in colors of Spring, to get you dreaming of warmer weather, sunshine and flowers?
I couldn't resist using this new cutting file from Treasure Box Designs to create this Easter Egg Door Hanger project.
These cute faces are just adorable!
They make me smile just looking at them.
I cut out a giant egg as my base, cut it into two zig zagged piece's to represent a cracked egg.I then added a cute picket fence, some fringed grass and some colorful flowers. I popped the chick behind the fence with a pretty pink egg tucked under his wing.  I placed the bunny in the front and popped him up. Look at that fistful of eggs he's got. So cute!
You need to 'hop' on over to Treasure Box Designs and check out all the wonderful new cutting files that were just added. Right now they are on sale so, quick!!! "hop like a bunny" before the sale is over!

Bow Wow, Woof Woof, Ruff, Ruff....!

I've been working on a cute little photo book with dog themed pages. I used many different cutting files from Treasure Box Designs for the focal point on the pages. It took me about 5 days off and on to plan the page layouts, cut the piece's, chalk and assemble them. But I very happy with how it turned out.
This is the front cover. There are a total of 17 pages including front and back covers and room for 16 photos. Not all of the pages are shown in this post.
I used a red, white and black color theme along with the browns of the dogs and a few other touches of color here and there.
You can click on any of the photos to enlarge them for closer details :)
The pages are 8 x 8 and I included a photo mat on each page. The photos slip in easily behind the ribbons.
The elements are hand chalked and some of them are popped up for added dimension.
Here are a few closeups of some of the dogs. Aren't they cute?
Each page is enclosed in a protective vinyl sleeve to keep them clean from fingerprints.
The funny part to me, about making this book is that I don't own a dog and I haven't for many years. (I think it would be cute to hold little boys photos too ) I love it, but since I have no dog, I will be selling this photo book. If you are interested in purchasing it, please contact me at karel2006@comcast.net.
I am asking $35 + postage, to the United States only. I can email other photos on request.
The paper piecing's used to create this book are all from Treasure Box Designs. Be sure and check out the rest of the adorable files they have to offer.

Last Valentine Project.....

I'm squeezing in one more project before Valentine's Day. Sometimes, I like to not work on such big or more complicated projects... kind of give myself a break, ya know? So today I created this cute little pin to wear tomorrow.
I just resized everything to tiny~lol, and created something fun and different. I colored everything with Copic markers, added white gel pen highlights, a pretty rhinestone accent and popped him up on some matted and embossed circles.
And after I'm finished wearing it for the day, I can remove the pin from the back and add him to a card or layout. A dual duty project of sorts. This pattern is based on a file from Treasure Box Designs. Go check them out. You'll find loads of fun patterns for all kinds of projects!

Hanging Bunny Pocket....

Today's project is a cute little hanging heart pocket. The bunny is from the Basket Buddies cut file from Treasure Box Designs. The hanging pocket is from Silhouette America.
The heart pocket can be filled with all kinds of treats and goodies.
If you don't have a cutting machine you could recreate the heart pocket pretty easily on your own. And the Treasure Box Design files include jpg formats, so they can be hand cut if need be.
Cardstock used on the pocket is from Stampin' Up. I chalked all of the pieces for dimension and added the whiskers with a Slicca Pen. White highlights are a white gel pen.
Check out all of the new Valentine's and Easter cutting files at Treasure Box Designs. They are currently on sale, but only for a few more days.
Thanks for dropping by :)

Clean and Simple....

Today's project is a clean and simple card. Sometimes the image just needs to speak for itself.
Like this cute little guy from Treasure Box Designs. I love the daisy he's holding being bigger than him. It gives  such a whimsical appeal. And I adore his little curl in his hair/fur on his forehead.
I colored him using Copic markers and did the sky and background shading with chalk. Highlights were added with a white gel pen.
I added the daisy to match the flower that he's holding and the yellow glittery buttons to tie in with the yellow.
I left the sentiment off , so that I can use the card for just about any occasion. The image is from this cute new digital stamp set from Treasure Box Design. It's a large set with a lot of images.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Elephant Gift Box

Hi~Just popping in with a quick Valentine's gift box. It's perfect for holding a bag of candy, cookie treats or as I did here, a cute bath set for a neighbor or a niece. I used an image from the Valentine Digital Stamp Collection from Treasure Box Designs.
I colored my image with copic markers, cut out around the image and then popped it on to this sweet box from Silhouette America. I finished it off with a dotted ribbon wrapped around the box. I will add a sentiment to the bottom front once I know who I am going to give it to.
This is only one of the images from the collection. There are 21 cute images in this large collection. Kids could color some up as a fun family project, and then hand them out in class.  Thanks for dropping by and looking~

Panda Bear Love.....

Here is my design team project this week for Treasure Box Designs. A cute little Panda Bear Valentines card for my sweet g-grandson.
I kept it simple, since I want to mail it out without extra postage or worrying about things getting crushed in transit.
The file is from the new 'Bamboozled by Love' kit. This is just one of the patterns. (The heart cutout is not part of the file. It is from Silhouette America) The lettering is from the title in the kit, but I used just the one word 'Love' for my card.
I popped everything up using dimensional adhesives. The dotted background paper is from Stampin' Up, and isn't quite as bright as it shows here.
I chalked all of the pieces and added the little bow for fun. Check out this cute kit here, and all the other wonderful new Valentine's and Easter files, available on sale now.

Snowflake Love......

We are in the middle of some heavy duty snowfall today, so I think it's another great day to stay in and do some crafting. Here's a cute snowman card  using a sweet image from Country Life Graphics. He's from their Greetings Collection.
He was decked out for Christmas. But with a little maneuvering in my software program, I removed the holly on his hat, and  hand drew some little hearts around his head. Now he looks more like a Valentine's card.
I colored the image with Copic markers, and did the highlight's with a white gel pen. I always add little dots to represent where shadows might be. The dots are something I started doing as a painter and it carried over to my card making.
The pretty background paper is digital. It is from Scrappin' Doodles Whimsical Valentine Backgrounds collection. I just print out what I need to match my project.
The little sentiment under the bow is also from a Country Life Graphic set. I matted everything on to black card stock and finished it with a big glittered snowflake using a cutting die and my Cuttlebug.
Thanks for stopping by and if you are in a snowy state like Michigan, where I am today, I hope you stay warm and safe. Have a great afternoon!

A Snowy Afternoon....

Winter has finally come to Michigan. I am bundled up in my comfy old sweats, listening to the oldies on the radio, and holed up in my craft room. I can't think of a better way to spend a snowy Sunday! Here is a cute card I made using an adorable snowman image from Primsy Doodle Designs.
I don't normally do anything with purples or lavenders. But I really like the way this card turned out. I used Copic markers to color my image, and the background papers I used are digital papers that I printed out from Scrappin Doodles. I use digital papers a lot, because I can  print out an 8.5 x 11 size and split the patterns half and half on the paper. That way I don't have a lot of waste. And using my software program I can change the colors to whatever I need to match my colored images.
I backed everything with a pale green card stock, and added a little felt circle and heart. I like the added dimension you get by using felt. I think I may add a rhinestone to the heart for some extra bling. The sentiment is a stamp from studio g, that I picked up from Walmart for just a dollar.
I added a sheer lavender dotted ribbon to the side too. Doesn't he have just the cutest face?
Check out Primsy Doodle Designs cute primitive images. They are currently on sale, and you get not one, but a whole set of images for just a buck! Yep, $1, for beautiful, quality digital images, that you can use over and over again. You can flip them, resize them, do all kinds of things with them, that you can't do with a regular rubber stamp. Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful Sunday!

As it was meant to be.....

I said I'd be back to show you a card using the same file I used in my previous posting. ( If you haven't seen it, check out my last post) But this time I'm using it in the way it was originally designed to be used. The file is from Treasure Box Designs, Love Is In the Air cutting file.
These bugs are so adorable. I can imagine using them all year around, in lots of different palettes, for all sorts of projects can't you?
I cut the files out with my die cutting machine and chalked all the edges for more depth. Then I used lots of embossing to add details to my papers. I love the swiss dots and the cute embossed hearts. Subtle but pretty. Highlights were added with a white gel pen.
Check out all the delightful files from Treasure Box Designs. There are some new files that are perfect for all of your upcoming Valentines projects, and they are currently on sale. Thanks for stopping by!
