Easter Mouse in a basket.....

Here's a cute Easter card I made using a free cutting file that Treasure Box Designs gave out in a past newsletter. They send a free pattern out each week.
If you have been thinking about trying paper piecing this is a great way to get files to work with, before you spend any money out of pocket.
And if you don't have a cutting machine, there is a jpg file included that you can use. It may take a little longer to cut the pieces by hand, but it's very doable.
You would make a copy, (don't cut up the original) trace around the pieces on to colored card stock and cut them out. Chalk them and then put them together. If you are new to paper piecing there is a how to video here.
Of course you need to sign up for the newsletter to get the free files, so to do that just go here. Click on the sign up in the left hand column and every Tuesday you get a newsletter with the free file.
And if you are lucky enough to own a cutting machine, the files come in all kinds of formats, as well as the svg format, so they can accommodate all different makes and models of machines. Once you try paper piecing, you'll be hooked. It is guaranteed fun!

I've been a follower of yours for several weeks now. I don't think I've posted much on your blog, but I've been sharing with Pinterest. Just love what you do and enjoy paper piecing too. Your work is a true inspiration to me!! Thank you for sharing. I have a blog too but haven't posted recently cause my cricut is put away in storage cause we are in between houses atm. First thing I'm going to do in my new home is set up my craft room and follow in your footsteps!!
